Laborers to air Ads on Vikings Radio Network this season
Minnesota LECET has booked an agreement with KFAN/ IHEART Media to run a series of ads throughout the 2016/17 Minnesota Vikings football season highlighting the experiences of a number of Minnesota Laborers Union members (Members of Construction & General Laborers Union Local 563) who were involved in the project.
Minnesota Laborers Employers Cooperation & Education Trust is currently running radio ads throughout the State of Minnesota to promote road safety around highway construction zones and also to highlight the benefits of Union Construction and construction careers. Click to listen to the ads.

Skilled Laborers perform a wide array of construction activities In Minnesota, North Dakota, and are valuable members of any construction team. Laborers are often one of the first to arrive at the beginning of a project, and the last to leave a jobsite when it is turned over to the owner. Laborers work in all construction sectors: heavy and highway road and bridge construction, energy, commercial construction, environmental and specialty.
Union Built Construction Jobsites Lead the Way
When Finance & Commerce News came out with its Top Projects awards for 2015, a strong representation of Union Built projects made the list once again. According to their criteria, projects are judged for their degree of difficulty, creativity in design, innovative construction techniques, cooperation among contractors and management and sustainable efforts. The Minnesota Laborers Union is proud to be a part of the construction of the new Minnesota Vikings Stadium – the people’s stadium located in downtown Minneapolis Mn, which will be opening in July, 2016.
This state-of-the-art entertainment venue will glow on the skyline of the City of Minneapolis for years to come and literally hundreds of locally employed skilled construction craft Laborers Union members were proud to have played a part in this great accomplishment.
Commuters who traverse Scott and Carver Counties soon will enjoy improved reliability and safety with the completion of the County Highway 101 Bridge Project. The previous span over the Minnesota River was prone to flooding. This anticipated construction project was completed by Union Contractors, Skilled Construction Craft Laborers Union members and fellow Union craftsmen and women.

When Finance and Commerce News announced their 2014 Top Projects list, there were no shortages of Union built projects or projects of great notoriety. Of the top 28 projects, 25 were led by signatory Union contractors, topped by the $957 million Met Council Green Line project. Additionally Union workers and subcontractors performed work at the 3 other recognized projects.
When we reflect on the completion of a really significant public project such as the new Union Built Green Line transit project, we truly understand that it is all about connecting people. The Minnesota Laborers Union and highly regarded Union contractors are proud to have helped deliver on this public opportunity that will connect people and their services more efficiently between two of the greatest cities in the world.
