Laborers Union Members Take Pride in New Vikings Stadium Construction

The Minnesota Laborers Union is proud to be a part of the construction of the new Minnesota Vikings Stadium – the people’s stadium located in downtown Minneapolis Mn, which will be opening in July, 2016.

This state-of-the-art entertainment venue will glow on the skyline of the City of Minneapolis for years to come and literally hundreds of locally employed skilled construction craft Laborers Union members were proud to have played a part in this great accomplishment.

Members of Laborers Union Local 563 and Signatory Union Contractors have joined together in a common purpose, to erect an iconic facility that will improve the quality of life for Minnesotans and our guests for generations to come. This once in a lifetime project has a uniquely Minnesota heritage design that will give a feeling of openness while hosting some of life’s greatest sporting and entertainment events.

Skilled Laborers have been there since the beginning of the construction process, since the ground breaking in 2013. Logging thousands of work hours, Laborers union member crews were involved in early demolition of the old Metrodome structure, did a vast amount of site and utility work in preparation for the new structure and have made a great impact working on the new structure, pouring concrete, working with all the crafts and will be there to the end when the keys to the building are turned over to the ownership.   It is work that comes with passion and pride and the Laborers, in partnership with their signatory union contractor employers know that this project will be a special one, when they look back at their long construction career.
